Customised Items
Trained at the European Leather Workers and Artists Trade Show (ELWATS) by Barry King in precision stamping and Iürgen Volbach for swivel knife finesse.
My first encounter with leather craft was in 2005, when I watched a man hand-sewing a wallet on a beach in Goa, India. The care and precision in his movements captivated me, and in that moment, I knew I wanted to become a leather craftsman.
In 2017, on my travels to Thailand, I discovered a master craftsman who agreed to teach me leather tooling for two days. From there, I delved deep into leather craft, though self-research, pattern making and creation of my first pieces: wallets, passport covers, ties, belts, and bags, each hand-carved using a variety of techniques and geometric designs.
In 2021, I continued to refine my skills at the prestigious Scuola del Cuoio in Florence, Italy, located within the historic Santa Croce Monastery. The school, world-renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, has welcomed members of royal families, presidents, and celebrities such as Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Robert Downey Jr., and Ozzy Osbourne.
Today, my studio in Zurich, Switzerland is where I design, craft, and host workshops and events. My passion lies in creating bespoke, hand-carved leather goods that are made to last a lifetime.
